The handpainted caps were an idea that came completely by accident. As an anesthesiologist assistant, I lived in operating rooms for 15 years and was always looking for that 'something' that would relax patients, put them in the mood and break the ice.

    Having finished the School of Fine Arts, at some point I painted my own cap. I couldn't believe the impact it had... Colleagues and patients saw it and smiled, the mood changed and finally the cold operating rooms were filled with color, cartoon characters, animals, flowers...       And little by little other hospitals and others began to be filled with color...And they became 'small galleries' as a colleague told me.

   That's what we do at Art Scrubs. We fill the people who work with color and smiles and they in turn pass it on to the patients.
